Community Guidelines
TREE should feel open, relaxed, and human. You can disagree and discuss difficult subjects; you cannot exploit, threaten, harass, deceive, or expose another person.

1. Protect children
Never create, request, possess, upload, stream, link to, or share child sexual abuse material. Grooming, sexual solicitation, sextortion, trafficking, sexualising a child, and helping another person arrange or hide that abuse are prohibited. This includes real, generated, illustrated, and altered content. Do not pressure a child to send private images, keep an unsafe secret, reveal a location, or move elsewhere to avoid safety controls. Do not fake an age or help someone bypass an eligibility restriction. Follow the Child Safety Standards for safe reporting steps.
2. No pornography or sexual exploitation
Pornography, explicit sexual activity, sexual services, and content mainly intended for sexual gratification are not allowed in the current service. Non-consensual intimate material, sexual deepfakes, coercion, and threats to release intimate material are prohibited. Gender identity, sexual orientation, and non-explicit discussion of relationships, health, or education are not inherently violations. Context and audience matter, but an NSFW label, private Home, or adult audience does not override these rules.
3. No threats, graphic harm, or dangerous encouragement
Do not make credible threats, organise violence, promote violent extremism, glorify serious harm, encourage suicide or self-injury, or share graphic gore as shock content. News discussion and seeking help are allowed when they do not encourage harm or unnecessarily spread graphic material. TREE is not an emergency service; contact local emergency services if someone is in immediate danger.
4. Respect people and privacy
Do not stalk, intimidate, repeatedly target, or coordinate harassment against someone. Do not attack people because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or another protected characteristic. Criticising an idea is different from abusing a person or group. Do not deceptively impersonate someone, publish private contact or location information, or distribute private communications or recordings without the required permission and legal basis. Respect blocks and requests to stop contact; do not use another account or other people to bypass them.
5. Do not deceive, steal, or disrupt
Scams, phishing, malware, account theft, spam operations, fraudulent activity, and attempts to compromise TREE are prohibited. Do not defeat access controls, obtain information you are not authorised to access, or disrupt other members. Report security problems safely without accessing other people’s data. Do not coordinate fabricated reports or use reporting as a weapon. An honest report that is not upheld is not, by itself, abuse.
6. Share only content you may lawfully share
You need the necessary rights or another lawful basis for media you upload, play, or broadcast. Possessing a file, paying for a subscription, giving credit, or sharing with friends does not automatically provide those rights. 7. Report the specific concern
Use Report on the relevant person or item, choose the closest reason, and briefly explain what happened. A TREE ID, Home, item reference, and approximate time can help. Do not download or forward suspected child sexual abuse material to make a report. Use block or local hiding when you do not want to interact with someone or see the current item. Local hiding affects your view; it is different from TREE removing content for everyone. A credible serious report can temporarily pause affected content or activity while it is reviewed. That precaution does not by itself suspend the uploader or prove the allegation. Report totals are signals, not votes.
8. Decisions and appeals
Depending on evidence, context, severity, risk, and relevant history, TREE may issue a warning, remove content, end live activity, limit a feature or Home, suspend an account, or terminate access. Serious risk can require an immediate restriction before full review. Where safe and legally permitted, an affected member receives the action, a meaningful reason, and an available appeal route. A review can uphold or overturn the decision. Overturning one decision does not cancel another valid restriction or erase the record needed to audit what happened. The operator may initially handle cases personally. TREE does not promise a separate appeals department, 24/7 staffing, instant replies, or access to another person’s confidential report.
